Creating New Objects: A Comprehensive Walkthrough

As your needs evolve, so might your App. Adding objects post-creation is an integral part of this evolution, and Codeless ONE makes it simple and efficient. This comprehensive guide will walk you through the process of seamlessly introducing new objects to your Application.

Accessing the App Model

Begin by clicking on the settings button, located at the top-right corner of your screen. From the dropdown, select Application settings.

Click the App Model option from the panel.

Adding New Objects

Upon landing on the App Model page, the Objects tab is automatically highlighted, ready for action.

Now, you have two methods to add objects:

Method 1: Manual Creation

Step 1: Locate and click the + New Object button.

This action prompts a form dedicated to object creation.

Step 2: Within the form, provide a name for your object. This should be representative of the data or function it encapsulates.

Step 3: Choose a fitting icon for your object. Visual identifiers like icons help in navigating and understanding your App’s schema better.

Step 4: Confirm your entries by pressing the “Create” button.

Tip: If you have more objects to add immediately, use the Create and New button. This saves your current object and brings up a fresh form for the next.

Note: Even though we have just created an Object, it is a blank container; without any properties. This is because the manual method doesn’t end with just creating an object. The properties of the objects have to be created manually as well.

Method 2: Using Alice AI

Step 1: Click on the Alice AI button.

Alice AI is equipped to offer object and property recommendations.

Step 2: A window will appear, presenting objects and properties Alice AI recommendations are relevant, considering your App’s name and its existing Objects.

Step 3: If you feel the need for more options, simply hit Show More. This extends your list, offering more objects and properties to choose from.

Step 4: Browse through the list and select the objects and associated properties that align with your requirements. Use the checkboxes to make your selections.

Step 5: Once content with your selections, finalize by clicking the Add button.

The selected objects from the list (along with their selected properties) are added to the model.

Reflecting Your Additions in the App:

To ensure the changes you made in the App Model reflect in your actual workspace:

Step 1: Click the Update App button.

Step 2: Click the Confirm button. This action integrates your newly added objects into the workspace.

Note: Irrelevant of whether you have added object manually or through Alice AI, you have to Update App. This is an essential step, otherwise the changes done to the model would be lost.
