This option is used to revert the configuration changes back to their original form. Consider this option as the factory reset. This option however, does not delete the records added in the tables. Only the configurations done to the default settings are reversed. These configurations may include setting a minimum, maximum or default value, Changing the label positions in a form, showing additional fields in a table, changing the appearance of cards etc. Let us elaborate with the following examples.
The Salary Amount is an attribute of the Salary object. By default this number type property doesn’t have a currency symbol, default, or minimum values etc. We have configured these settings as per our requirements.
The Add Employee form has labels originally at the top of the textboxes. We have changed their position.
By default, the Cards view has 4 card columns with each card having 2 data columns. We have modified it to be 3 card columns and each card having 3 columns.
The Employee table by default shows 6 attribute columns. We have added 4 more to the tally.
Now when we republish our app, all these configurations are reverted back to their original condition.
The Republish App option is accessed by first clicking on the small arrow besides the Update App button.
