How to display an object in an unsupported view

An Object in Codeless One can be seen in many views, depending upon which view is enabled/supported. During App creation, user is asked to select the desired views for relevant objects.

Object views during app creation

If a user does not select the desired view for the relevant object, the corresponding view option does not appear in the Show As menu.

Show As....

This does not mean that those views can not be displayed for the said object. We just need to configure the Show As menu using the following steps:

Click the App Settings Icon and then click the On button.

Enable Inline Edit

Click the Edit icon for the Object Toolbar to invoke In-line Edit.

Click Edit icon

Click the Actions tab.

Click Actions tab

Here you can see that majority of the views are not enabled, due to not being selected at the time of App creation.

Disabled views

Enable the desired checkboxes.

Enable desired views

Click the Update Page button.

Update Page

Now if the user clicks the Show As button, all the enabled views can be accessed.

Users can open the object in the desired view.
