Deleting Roles in Codeless ONE: A Step-by-Step Guide
In businesses, some roles or teams may be time or event-dependent. After the event or specific time, they are not needed anymore. Codeless ONE also recognizes this business practice and allows users to delete roles when they are no longer required.
However, there is a catch. Users can only delete the customized roles that they created themselves (or by someone else having relevant rights to do so in the application). Codeless ONE comes with three standard roles, Admin, Contributor, and Guest. These roles can’t be deleted by the users, although they can customize them. This article elaborates on the process of deleting a custom-created role.
Roles are confined to an application. Therefore, we need to open the desired application, to delete the desired customized role.
Click on the desired application name to open it.
Step 2: Access the Application Settings
Click on the App Settings icon 
and select the Application Settings option.
Step 3: Go to App Model
Click on the App Model option in the left-hand panel.
Step 4: Select the Roles Tab
Click the Roles tab, to go to the roles-related options.
Step 5: Select the desired role
Select the role that you want to delete. As described earlier, we can only delete the roles that we created ourselves .
Step 6: Delete the selected role
Click the red cross beside the selected role’s name to delete it.
Step 7: Confirm role deletion
Confirm that you really want to delete the customized role. Click the Delete button.
Step 8: Update the App
Although we have deleted the customized role; to take the changes into effect, we have to update the app. Click the Update App button.
Step 9: Confirm app updation
