Establishing object relations is foundational for crafting efficient applications. These relations determine how objects interrelate, enabling applications to be more attuned to user needs. Occasionally, adjustments to these relations might be necessary.

When you choose an object relation to edit, the Linked Object panel appears on the right. This area facilitates various modifications, such as:

Reference Property Selection

For One-to-Many cardinality links, you can define a reference property. By activating the checkbox, a dropdown displays available ‘Text’ type properties.

Additionally, you can set this property as mandatory, ensuring it’s always populated when a record is created.

Cardinality Adjustment

Mistakes happen. If you’ve incorrectly set a cardinality type, it’s rectifiable. By clicking on the displayed cardinality, a form emerges allowing you to reset your preference.

Upon selecting and confirming with Update, the system reflects the new configuration.

Redefining Relation Name

Normally, the system combines object names to name the relation, but you can change it to better describe the connection.

This label is evident in the related tab of a record within your workspace. Though the default is the object’s name, it’s modifiable for greater clarity.

After your refinements, it’s essential to hit “Save” to commit these changes.

Crucially, post any modifications, ensure you click  the Update App button, for them to take effect. This action is necessary for saving the integrity of your configurations.
